JNE at the OSPE Engineering Conference 2022

Representatives of the JNE Group of Companies attended the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) Engineering Conference in Ottawa on November 3, 2022.

The event, Canada’s largest forum for engineering, diversity, and recruitment, was a fantastic opportunity to connect with young professionals, students, and subject matter experts in the engineering industry.

Arriving downtown at the Shaw Centre to set up on Wednesday evening, it quickly became apparent that exhibitors and attendees alike were in store for a memorable day. From the cavernous exhibition hall lined with the tradeshow booths of conference partners from across Canada to the bright, panoramic vistas of the Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill just steps away, the size and scope of the operation generated a palpable excitement and energy for all in attendance.

The Engineering Conference was hosted at the beautiful Shaw Centre downtown Ottawa, Ontario.

The day of the conference, which kicked off with greetings from members of the provincial government, provided many opportunities to network with peers and colleagues about the innovative engineering work currently taking place in Ontario, attend insightful panel sessions with industry leaders, and engage in open discussions and interactive presentations with professional engineers, subject matter experts, and other STEM professionals.

Outside of the numerous forums and breakout sessions taking place throughout the day, JNE welcomed hundreds of attendees to the company booth to discuss current and upcoming opportunities at our Canadian offices, as well as best practices for new grads transitioning out of school into full-time employment. Common discussion points included emerging industry trends and projects, the evolving expectations of remote work, and the importance of company culture and employee engagement.
