Plant Upgrades and Package Line Relocation

Plant Upgrades and Package Line Relocation

Plant Expansion for Increased Production Capacity

A leading global provider of commercial cleaning hygiene products and solutions required the addition of two packaging lines to their existing Southern Ontario plant, along with multiple hazardous bulk storage tanks. JNE Consulting was retained for engineering and project management services to relocate the tanks and two packaging lines from its Midwestern U.S. manufacturing facility, to its Ontario plant.

The relocated equipment will be integrated with new equipment and facilities to support operations. The new equipment includes a explosion resistant tanker truck unloading building, four WIP tanks, tank access, working platforms, ventilation scrubber, mechanical and electrical services.

JNE provided engineering and construction management services to design and execute the construction and start-up of the new facility. Certain areas of the facility were specifically designed to allow for future expansion.

JNE reduced the client’s construction costs by recommending and implementing alternate building solutions, and achieved a faster completion time on the project by working with municipal building and fire authorities to ensure quick approvals.

The completion of this project allowed the client to expand their facility’s production capacity, satisfying their corporate goals and exceeding production ramp expectations to promote faster revenue acquisition.
